Students investigate insect adaptations and metamorphosis as they search for insects in forest, field, and wetland habitats. Get an up-close look at the diversity of these incredible organisms and their connection to our local birds.

We integrate the outdoor classroom with rigorous academic concepts, conservation-based themes, and connection with nature. Audubon Vermont's series of monthly outdoor nature-based programs focus on key science concepts. Each program is designed to give you a platform from which to build units/lessons in your homeschooling or to supplement your child's classroom learning at school.

We offer a monthly session for 6- 12 year-olds. We have two teachers available to give us the flexibility to work in age-appropriate small groups or come together as one big class.

Schedule: 5 hours of programming, including a 30 minute lunch break. All programs run from 9 am to 2 pm.

Note: Parents may drop off students or are welcome to join the program.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

6-12 year-olds (exceptions made on a case-by-case basis)

Refund/Cancellation Policy:

Full refunds will be issued up until the Monday before the program. 

NO refunds are available after this time. Full refunds will be made if Audubon needs to cancel the program due to hazardous road or weather conditions. To request a refund, contact Debbie Archer at [email protected] or 802/434-3068. Refund request will be responded to within 5 business days at the very longest.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Nope. We will have a list of registered participants.

Can I update my registration information?

Sure.

Is my registration fee or ticket transferable?

Yes.

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

No problem.
